John Dicks

John Dicks is an attorney, author and entrepreneur. He has been recognized nationally for his ability to simplify complex topics into understandable solutions.

Understanding that effective communication is both an art as well as science, John expresses a passion for sharing those skills with dynamic leaders seeking to excel with their own public presentations.

John has lectured on a diverse array of topics including motivation, peak performance, finance, and investment strategies before crowds totaling more than 1,000,000, throughout all 50 states of America and many countries around the world, including South Africa, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai.  His expertise has led to appearances on ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX affiliate TV and Radio stations, and he has shared the stage with such luminaries as Zig Ziglar and Brian Tracy.

In addition to his professional life, John has dedicated many years and much energy to public service.  He served for three terms as Mayor of his hometown of Plant City, including nine years as City Commissioner.

The Tampa Bay region has been the area of his focus on public service and has included his representation on Board of Trustees for Hillsborough Community College, the Hillsborough County Planning Commission, Hillsborough County Council of Governments, and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council.

For nearly 30 years, John has served on the Board of Trustees for South Florida Baptist Hospital.  He has also been active in presentations and community outreach for the State Committee of ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve).

John is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations.  He earned his Juris Doctorate law degree from Florida State University where he served on the Law Review, and also studied at Oxford University in England.

John has successfully balanced his professional and public service commitments with his passion for travel.  He spends much of his life on adventures and exploring the world, having visited nearly 100 countries, covering all seven continents, including camping in Antarctica!
